Announcing our 5th annual Sunrise Gathering fundraiser
a fundraising festival of storytelling and the arts to help youth be valiant
December 13 • 1-5pm • Epic Center • Downtown Kalamazoo
PRESENTED BY THE KOA FUND AND OUR COLLABORATING PARTNERS:
Wellspring Dance Company Youth Company Performance
Face Off Theatre Company YETTA Youth Performance
Three ways of moving and being, chosen by Koa, for Koa — Free Play Joy — the inspiration for a fundraiser event like you’ve never seen, and we call it the Sunrise Gathering.
Wellspring Dance Company is again enriching the Sunrise Gathering and, for the very first time, their adult and youth companies are collaborating and performing together for Free Play Joy!
We are honored to support Face Off Theatre Company’s Youth Empowerment Through The Arts program pilot. And, we are thrilled to culminate our co-production collaboration with a play written and performed by the Y.E.T.T.A. cohort for Free Play Joy!
The Epic Center is hosting again, with ingenuity and assistance in bringing Free Play Joy to life, including our Festival Midway filled with inspired games, joyful food, introspective creativity, and magical surprises. All Koa-inspired, inviting us to explore our ways of being, and motivating us to take action in helping youth be valiant.
Why a fundraising festival? Your donation allows the Koa Fund to fulfill its purpose. 100% of your support goes through the Koa Fund to nonprofit organizations supporting youth. Just as Koa’s heart is to relish in storytelling and art, so it is to uplift youth. Come see for yourself the power these hold together.
Your next steps? 1. Register below. Bring friends & family and let’s pack the house! 2. Donate below, as generously as you are able. 100% goes to support youth like those we’ve co-created with to bring you Free Play Joy!
